Torque Workcentre for sale!

A regular of Stu’s Shed has a 3.5m Torque Workcentre for sale that has had very little use.

Given how rarely second hand Torque Workcentres come up for sale, and the lead time on getting a new one, I am pretty sure there will be someone out there keen to snap this one up.  It is being sold for $5000

“I have for sale a Torque WorkCentre. I have had it for a number of years, but have never really used it. It simply doesn’t suit my woodworking, or workflow.
The details and accessories are:

3.5m by 900mm WorkCentre ($5060 current new price (cnp))
Extension beam ($745 cnp)
Circular Saw Attachment ($245 cnp)
Copy Attachment ($190 cnp)
Triton Router Attachment ($160 cnp)
Dust Extraction Guard ($115 cnp)
Drill/Grinder Attachment ($60 cnp)

Also a pro router switch, multiple lengths of t&g T Track, various stops, fences etc.

All up new, that’s more than $6500. And I guarantee, my unit is as new (some shipping plastic wrap still on some parts!)

I am based in Gippsland. Please message me if you have any questions at simonleecreations@bigpond.com or call on 0478 401 013”

One down, one to go

Sold the Torque Workcentre (Router Master) today, which is a good step (goes towards paying for some of the shed electrical installation!), so just have the tablesaw to go.

And I do need it to go – it is taking up precious space, as much as it is a reluctant sale.  (I really do like the TS10L).  However, it is what it is.

Hopefully as a bit of encouragement, I have taken 10% off the asking price, and set it to a very round $2000. See here for more details.

Final Chance for Woodwork Machines

I’ve submitted the various machine offers received (online and offline) through to see whether they are acceptable – for those that have made the offers you should have an answer in a day or two.

The following machines are still available to offer on:

Tool 4: Shopsmith:  It’s a tablesaw, a bit of a lathe, a shaper, and a drill press (the entire thing rotates on one end to stand up).  Comes with the original manual and associated documentation. Wouldn’t take much of an offer to secure this one fwiw.

Tool 5: a 6″ jointer.  The fence adjustment is excellent – a rack and pinion – shame more modern ones done come with this feature!

This is a working jointer – if you don’t have one in your workshop at the moment, it is an opportunity to get one at a good price.

Tool 6: Something modern: a brand new, unused Rockwell combo planer/thicknesser.

The machine is brand new, a good size/weight/function for a small shop. Offers over $100 considered.

Tool 7: Bit of a monster of a rip saw.  Looks to be a 12″ blade.

I’m still impressed with this machine – the size and weight of the castings, if I had a bigger shop I’d be tempted just to have a vintage machine like this!  Wish more current machines were build to the modern equivalent (although then we’d never be able to afford them!)  This would be affordable – for an offer.

Some more on the Garage Sale

Been doing quite a bit of sorting out of things for the garage sale this weekend, and it is quickly growing bigger than Ben Hur.  Well it might be if anyone turns up!

Thought there might be a few tools in the collection, but wasn’t sure……until I started going through the shed today.

So far the collection includes:

40L GMC Air Compressor & some accessories, 2 jigsaws (one GMC still in its box), a couple of new 3 million candle power torches (can it still be categorised as a torch when it is that bright?!), Triton Router Table (mk3 version), Biscuit Joiner, Jigsaw Table, ROS (random orbital sander), some GMC 10″ saw blades, tool box (old metal one), bunch of ring and open ended spanners and pipe spanners (think that is what they are called), wheelbarrow (essential woodworking tool), Triton planer attachment, GMC tablesaw, GMC workcentre, GMC workshop vac, and there is more out there, just can’t remember off the top of my head.  Oh, and a lawnmower that does go (just).

Then there is all the other household stuff – a computer, scanner, drawing board & T square, a stack of books, videos and on and on.  Guess if you really want to know what there is, you just have to turn up!

If you are wanting to come along, email me – I’m not putting my address all over the web! The garage sale is on Saturday 8 November 8am to 3pm.  South East Melbourne at least will put you in the ball park 🙂

GMC appears to be for sale….
