A New Festool Domino! The Domino XL

20120107-113323.jpg

5 1/2″ tenon length
Multiple positioning stops
2 morticing widths (not 3??)

Doesn’t do Dominos below 8mm, which is very limiting.

Ugly, ugly looking machine, but if anything like other Festool tools, will be precision personified.
Wonder if/when it will be seen down under?

  1. This is a pretty exciting machine. We are currently in the middle of an in depth review and write up. There will be lots to say abut this one.

In summary: It takes cutters 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. Dominos up to 140mm long! Ideal for large projects and architectural woodworking.

Expect to see it in Aus next month.

    Regards,
    Anthony

  2. When I last spoke to a festool rep back in december it was hitting our shores mid feb. Its actually better designed than the smaller one easier to use and more accurate with its positioning for multiple morticing

  3. Ugly? Far from it. An object of beauty more like it. Almost faultless, what more can be said. 😉
