A TWC Christening

The Roving Reporter finally got to christen his Torque Workcentre today

Another happy new owner.

Some more ideas have been developed on using the Torque too, particularly in how to make 3D copying significantly easier. Dubbed “Plateau 3D Copying”, it is easiest to think of it as layer copying, using a cove head on the copying rod, copying on one plane then increasing height by a mm or two and taking another pass.

Some more refinements will be coming out this week too – more on that as soon as they arrive.

  1. by christening did you mean spilling your drink? or a nods as good as a wink to a blind man nudge nudge wink wink

  2. Amazing. Awesome. But who cares?

    • Don’t care about a new approach to 3D copying? Or more specifically upgrades to the Torque Workcentre?

Sounds like the sort of thing you may not be interested in, but I’m sure there are a number of woodworkers that would be.

As to one of the regulars of this site celebrating a new tool? Regulars of the site are regarded as shed colleagues, and like anyone whom you share your shed with, we all like admiring the new acquisition, whether in person or in this case virtually.

If that only evokes a sarcastic response, perhaps the camaraderie of this site just isn’t for you.

  3. No I understand perfectly now. Thanks. It is awesome and an amazing 3D application. Keep up the great work. Thanks
